Domenico Gaggi's Registration Certificate
Although Domenico Gaggi became a citizen (a naturalized British subject) in August 1937, when World War II broke out he was designated an enemy alien along with his wife Yolanda and was required to register with the local Royal Canadian Mounted Police (RCMP). This document is his Registration Certificate, signed by the Deputy Registrar Robert Morrison in Copper Cliff, Ontario on August 12, 1940. Enemy aliens were required to keep such documents on their person at all times during the war years.
