Round-up of Italian Canadian men in Windsor, ON
Black and white photograph of a line-up of Italian Canadian men. A police officer is pictured checking the pockets of one man's jacket. The men are line-up outside of a building and in the background other police officers can be seen in the doorway of the building. On June 10, 1940 the Windsor Police raided local Italian Canadian establishments and arrested a number of men of Italian heritage. Thirty-five men from Windsor were eventually interned. This photograph is a duplicate of LDICEA2011.0002.0012.
