Camille Lauriente seated outside his grocery store on Rossland Avenue, Trail, BC
Black and white photograph of Italian immigrant Camille Lauriente sitting in front of his grocery store in the "Gulch" neighbourhood of Trail, BC. Lauriente was one of the early pioneers to the area and ran his store, which purports to have "the best groceries that money can buy," in direct competition to the store owned by fellow Italian immigrant Isaco Georgetti (who had also opened the Montana Hotel in 1902).
