This subject raises many issues, among them: whether the Canadian government’s action was justified for the time; the need to protect the fine balance between individual rights and the common good; the role of memory in history; and the argument for financial compensation and a formal apology. Do you have an opinion on these issues? Does the subject raise other questions?

Stunning photography! My father was in WW II so I can appreciate these breathtaking pictures. (He escaped from Czechoslovakia to USA, as Hitler was arriving. He was then recruited into the U.S Army -> then he went back to Europe to fight.) Thank you for posting them!

I have seen side by side historical and modern photos but this is great! Wonderful work and I see it took some very careful placements in the modern photography. I am inspired to do some local ones for my area too. Unbelievable and somewhat disturbing. This is great art!Thank you for sharing it.
