Lake Superior Regiment leaving Port Arthur, ON - en anglais seulement
The photograph depicts a large crowd of soldiers and onlookers on Red River Rd. (formerly Arthur St.). Soldiers with the Lake Superior Regiment are seen marching towards the train station on Water St. The first section of the regiment left the armoury and paraded to Red River Rd., down to Cumberland St., then south to Pearl St. and the waiting trains. The soldiers were led by the regimental band. Soldiers from the Fort William regiments assemled at McKellar Park and paraded through Fort William Sts. before being brought to Port Aruthur by way of street cars. They were led by the city brass band and the girls pipe band.
